an interactive street art installation/pop up gallery that was on view at #LoMan #ArtFestival Sculpture Garden
The installation “Sticker Social Clubhouse” is a living, interactive project showcasing artwork from members of Sticker Social Club. Constructed out of wood pallets and found objects, the massive clubhouse is two floors and over 20 feet in length.
Visitors have fondly called the clubhouse a “dystopian pirate ship” and a “fort from our childhood dreams.” Keeping with Sticker Social Club’s drawing club roots, visitors are welcome to participate in the installation by drawing on stickers with materials provided. The club hopes to break down barriers placed in art showing that anyone can be involved in a creative community. The installation was on view during the LoMan Art Festival Friday, August 7th through August 9th at 114 Mulberry Street, New York City
The club has created other large scale interactive installations at various art fairs including the Long Island City Arts Walk 2014, Fridge Art Fair 2014, and Bushwick Open Studios 2014.
