Sticker Social Club along with @StreetArtNYC
present a street art installation titled “Sticker Social Clubhouse”
on view @fridgeartfair_nyc *********** “Sticker Social Clubhouse” is a showcase of work by members of the Sticker Social Club, a semi-private drawing club started in New York City whose members include street artists, graffiti artists, illustrators, painters and sculptors.
The club was founded nearly two years ago in the graffiti artist @cosbe1 art studio by a group of friends who wanted to get together and draw. Since then, the club has grown in size as more and more people have shown interest in attending these drawing meetings. Similar clubs have started in other cities such as Los Angeles and Chicago. The NY Chapter has had numerous successful meetings and is positioned to grow it’s community even more this year.
The installation “Sticker Social Clubhouse” is meant to be a living, interactive installation that involves the audience. Visitors are welcome to draw on stickers and other materials provided and put them up within the installation. The club hopes to break down barriers placed on art, graffiti, and street art and show that anyone can be involved in that community.
Artists that have contributed work for sale in the installation include:
@abelincolnjr #Alone, @roycer700 Julia Berke, @Buttsup, @drvnyc @chrisrwk @cosbe1 @adamDare, @tonydepew_ @fling_1 Adam Lawrence, @misterguh @Sameshit, @ToneTank, and more.
The installation will be on view during the Fridge Art Fair from May 8th thru May 11th.
