#ArtistOfTheDay @mistakoy 🗽✌🏻️will be live drawing as well as exhibiting her work with us at our upcoming event with @theartcreators Jan 8th @coworkrs Gowanus! Bio: Krista “MISTAKOY” uses her art to both express herself and evolve the viewer’s sense of self, love, sex and humor. Born in St. Paul, MN, she studied Fashion Design at both Parsons and Otis College of Art & Design in LA, where she earned her B.F.A. Her experience at Mattel spawned her love of toys; influencing her art themes and creations. Her gestural freehand style of painting is reminiscent of both fashion illustration and graffiti stencils.
MISTAKOY’S paintings first debuted in the LA art collective L’art Pour L’art. Today she works from her studio in Bushwick, showing her paintings in Brooklyn and Manhattan. She has been commissioned for album art and murals, collaborated with fashion photographers, and has been featured in the New York Times, Huffington Post, and Brooklyn Street Art blog.
