12 years ago I began implementing collaged elements into my paintings. I felt compositionally they working in some ways and not in others. I decided to not continue with the collaged elements. My work was also headed in a different direction towards a more abstracted gestural implementation of the aesthetics of graffiti referencing the celestial, the landscape, and the underground, which I refer to as a obsessive abstraction of interconnectivity. While that is still the oeuvre of my visual language and expression I have recently cycled back to incorporating collage elements and at times words that spell something in a graffiti style. I will be doing this for at least a couple pieces, it may even be a new series, but the obsessive abstraction of interconnectivity will always be rooted in my artwork. -This image is of a new piece of mine “Obsess, obsess, obsess” 16 x 16 inches, acrylic, enamel, ink, and collage on 1.5 inch deep cradled wood panel, 2015, $350 Contact: stickersocialclub@gmail.com #StickerSocialClub #NYC #DrawingClub #Art #OnLineGallery
